Professional responsible for deploying, operating, and optimizing secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud platforms. The role requires experience in GCP, Microsoft Azure, and AWS environments, with primary specialization in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key skills

Deployment and operation of cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions.

Strong expertise in GCP services for computing, networking, storage, data, security, and observability.

Implementation of environments with high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Infrastructure automation and application of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

Cloud security: identity, access management, network segmentation, encryption, secrets management, and compliance.

Cost, capacity, and performance optimization based on FinOps principles.

Knowledge of Azure and AWS to support integrations and operations in multi-cloud scenarios.

Responsibilities

To deploy and operate GCP platforms and services in compliance with technical, functional, security, and business requirements.

Manage landing zones, organizations, projects, billing accounts, policies, IAM, and governance models.

Deploy and maintain cloud-based network components: VPCs, subnets, firewalls, Cloud VPN, Cloud Interconnect, load balancers, Cloud DNS, and Cloud NAT.

Provisioning, configuring, and maintaining compute services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and managed services.

Implement strategies for storage, backup, replication, retention, and disaster recovery.

Automate the provisioning and configuration of resources through Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.

Implement monitoring, alerts, centralized logging, and incident response mechanisms.

Support development teams in adopting cloud-native practices, automation, and security.

Monitor cloud consumption costs and implement actions to optimize resources and services.

Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational standards, and runbooks.

Cloud Storage, Filestore, Persistent Disk and Backup and DR.

Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Spanner, Bigtable and Firestore.

BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer, when applicable.

Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, Security Command Center, and Cloud Audit Logs.

Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Error Reporting, Trace and Profiler.

GCP's billing, budgeting, quotas, and FinOps tools.

Automation and cross-platforms

Terraform / OpenTofu, Terragrunt and reusable modules.

Git, GitHub, GitLab or Azure DevOps.

Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell for automation.

Docker and Kubernetes.

HashiCorp Vault or equivalent secrets management solutions.

Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic/OpenSearch, or equivalent observability tools.

Azure: Azure Landing Zones, Entra ID, Azure Virtual Network, AKS, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy and Azure Backup.
