SAP Basis Senior Consultant

We are seeking a Senior SAP Basis Consultant to strengthen our internal SAP Platform Basis team and help ensure the stability, security and continuous improvement of our global SAP landscape.

Main Responsibilities

- Operations & reliability — Operate and monitor a complex global SAP landscape, ensuring high availability, performance and reliability across SAP ECC 6.0, NetWeaver 7.0, SAPS/4HANA 2025, BW/BI, SAP Datasphere, SAC, BTP, Cloud ALM, CPI and AS Java.

- Cloud operations — Administer SAP Private Cloud environments and support cloud transformation initiatives.

- Lifecycle management — Plan and support installations, upgrades, patches, support packages, kernel and SAP GUI updates, and release migrations.

- System copies — Execute homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies and landscape refreshes.

- Security & access — Support IAM, user administration, role and privileged-access concepts, SSO integrations (SAML 2.0 and SPNEGO), and digital certificate lifecycle management.

- Change & transport — Manage the SAP transport infrastructure and technical change implementation.

- Archiving — Support enterprise archiving solutions.

- Service management — Monitor performance, capacity and platform health; resolve incidentes and problems in line with agreed SLAs.

- Project delivery — Lead internal SAP Basis projects and coordinate delivery with the external hosting provider.

Candidate Profile

- 6+ years of SAP Basis experience.

- Hands-on expertise in system copies and refreshes, transport management, performance monitoring and optimization, enterprise archiving, SSO (SAML 2.0 and SPNEGO), and digital certificates.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- High level of commitment, responsibility, self-motivation and organization.

- Ability to learn quickly and build expertise in new areas.

- Fluent English (mandatory).

- Willingness to travel to Germany up to 10% of the time.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

- Proven experience managing complex SAP landscapes in international environments.

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
